Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physiotherapist role based in Coimbatore at Arun Physio Rehab Center (APRC). The Physiotherapist will assess patients using standardized evaluation protocols, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based physiotherapy for geriatric, neurological, orthopedic, and post-surgical conditions. Daily responsibilities include providing hands-on therapy, supervising therapeutic exercises, educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, and documenting progress using clinic standards. The role involves collaborating with senior therapists and the clinical team, following clinical SOPs, and participating in regular case discussions and training sessions. The Physiotherapist may also support home-visit or in-clinic programs as needed to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Formal qualification in physiotherapy (BPT required; MPT in Neurology, Orthopedics, Geriatrics, or related specialty preferred) with valid professional registration as per local regulatory requirements.
- Clinical skills in assessment and treatment planning, including functional mobility evaluation, pain assessment, goal setting, and outcome tracking for musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-operative conditions.
- Hands-on therapeutic skills such as exercise therapy, manual therapy techniques, neuro-rehabilitation approaches, balance and gait training, and post-surgical rehabilitation protocols.
- Patient-centered care capabilities, including clear communication, empathy, counseling on lifestyle and home exercises, and respectful interaction with older adults, caregivers, and individuals with diverse needs.
- Professional skills in documentation, adherence to clinical SOPs, time management, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Comfort working in a busy clinical setting, with willingness to support home-visit services in the Coimbatore area when required.
- Prior experience in geriatric physiotherapy, stroke rehabilitation, or long-term rehabilitation settings is an advantage
